I use to buy alot of stuff from wal mart, but we now have an academy. I still buy ammo from wal mart. If it has to be ordered I usually order from Cabela's. I have been quite satisfied. I have never purchased anything from bass pro so I have no opinion on them, although I did make a pigrimage to the metroplex when they opened. Much to my surprise I walked out without having to make a purchase (I wish my wife would learn that concept in shopping ) I have always bought my guns from the local gun dealer who seems to give me pretty good deals. I seldom purchase anything at gun shows, but I do like to go and look around.

There is something about BPS... I always walk out of there with something and then always see the same thing at Academy at a cheaper price!!

I usually get most of my gear from Bass Pro. I just don't like the selection that Academy has. Get some online as well. As far as guns go I love pawn shops. Been doing business with one in McKinney for years and they usually give me a good deal on what I want to buy.

I find guns online that I need and order them through my neighbor (he has his FFL). I can find what I want at a cheaper price online and I can almost always find exactly what I want. Other than that I buy the majority of my stuff from Cabelas. They have pretty much anything that I want at fair prices. Everyone in my family knows that all I want for my birthday or Christmas is gift certificates from Cabelas. They get my vote every time.

Walmart, Academy, Bass Pro, in that order. Of course June 8th I will probably start going to Cabelas since I have to drive by it twice a day to and from work.

When is that new Cabela's opening in Ft Worth?

I work just down the street. We will have to meet for lunch some time so you can tell me all about your employee discount

I say I buy most of my stuff from Academy but after going in for some turkey supplies I found nothing. I went to Sportsman Warehouse and they were fully stocked. If I am going to buy ammo and fishing stuff, I go to Academy but for equipment that I want to last, I will buy brand name stuff elsewhere such as BPS or SW.

Academy mostly, the WallyWorld. BPS is a little outta my way but looking forward to Cabella's opening. Will make a day-trip & hit it & BPS the same day.
