I think I have settled on what I want, noticed I said 'I think", I am buying 2 pistols, either a Glock 34 or 17 and a 19. Or XDM 3.8 compact and a XDM 4.5. In all honesty I am leaning toward the XDM's but we will see. My question is anyone shot the CorBon +P 125gr JHP thru the Glocks or Springfields, was wanting to know the specifics and if you thought the guns would hold up. As that will be my ammo of choice
Thanks guys, ya'll have been a lot of help

First off I would buy a Glock.
Second........I would tell you not to buy a gun based on the ammo YOU want to shoot. There is no gurantee that the gun you buy will even like the same ammo that YOU like.
And to answer your question......no I have never shot the +P CorBon so I wont comment on that.

That was a very informative post JCB, you pretty much covered it.
You can't be guaranteed that any fixed sight weapon will shoot to point of aim with a given ammo. My G19 liked 124 gr ammo, but my XD9 liked 115.
I prefer the XD based on ergonomics but both are proven platforms. Go hold them and decide which one feels better...

The only thing I could add to JCB's response is that I am unaware of any modern 9x19 pistol that cannot eat up +P ammo without a hiccup.
BTW it has never occurred to me to match up a firearm to a desired type of ammunition. Curiosity is piqued; what's up with that?

Thanks guys, ya'll have been a lot of help I would go with the Glock. And you mention a G34 or G17 + a G19. I'm not sure why you are getting the G19 and one of the other two, and I am not saying that there is anything at all wrong with that. But with those choices I would get the G34 and the G19. I have a G17 and G19 myself and sort of wish I had gotten the G34 instead of the G17 simply because I figure that being that both are full size, and that the G34 is almost an inch longer, that would give it a little tighter sight radius, less muzzle flip, etc. Even though I don't think muzzle flip is really an issue with a 9mm. I guess it depends on what you are planning to do with the G17. I know some people carry the full size guns. I was just guessing that is what you wanted the G19 for. Anyway, I am thinking that a G34 is in my future, or actually the G35 in 40 cal.

Man, you guys got me all screwed up here I had to go back and re-read my post, just to see what it says. Maybe I said it wrong I don’t know, so bear with me and let me see if I can get this straight.
I started my research for some new pistols before Thanksgiving, I have spent countless hours reading everything I could get my hands on, searching any and all info on the net, hell I was lurking here for a month before I even signed up, just reading every post I could on what I was interested in. I cannot remember how much money I have spent at the range, using borrowed guns, rented guns, my own guns, in the last month and half trying to make a decision on what best “Fit” me and my likes. You guys have no idea what I like/dislike in a gun, what I want in a gun, what my needs are, weather my hands are big or small, what models fit better, and there is no way to know that. That is why I took the actions I did. I just didn’t wake up this morning and decide to write all this, there was some thought process behind all this madness. Thus it came down to 4-5 models, which ea. has its finer points. But yet I’m still told what gun to buy, even though I didn’t ask, amazing.
I also had to go back and see where I was “buying a gun to match my ammo” I have reread it 3-4 times, honestly, I don’t see that. What I do see is “As that will be my ammo of choice”. Now just to clarify : Choice consists of the mental process of judging the merits of multiple options and selecting one of them. While a choice can be made between imagined options ("what would I do if ...?"), often a choice is made between real options, and followed by the corresponding action.
This is why I asked the question about CorBon, I love the #’s they have 1250fps, 434 ftlbs for a 125 JHP, but if it don’t work , I’ll go another route. Nothing is set in stone. I simply wanted someone to say, this gun seems to work better with CorBon that this gun, if they both work great, then that’s fine. I’ll go to the final selection stage then. Of all the research I’ve done, I have found very little info on +P, or +P+ ammo for those 2 types of guns. This was the reason for the original post

All those guns you talk about will do just fine with CorBon. Now go buy a gun and have fun.
