I believe you are located in Huntington, Texas. I'm sure you really know where you are, just a typo. Did you ever construct a 50 yard Rifle Range?

Ironwood they have a 50 yard covered pistol range and use moveable targets on the 100 yard range for rifle, so you can shoot from 0-100 yards.

Still no reply to the question or my PM. You out there Kerry

We never made a 50 yard range as we have only had 3 weeks with out rain. Our skeet fields have been on hold since December for the same reason it finally dried up enough this week to start construction Hopefully we can get them going!

Just curious because I never got into reloading yet, but how much would you say on average that it cost you start reloading for just a typical rifle or two(243 to a 300WSM)?

To get into reloading , equipment and all you are looking at anywhere from $200-$500 depending on your needs. Lee anniversary kit $106 , RCBS Rockchucker kit $300 dies($20-$29), powder($18-$24 per Lb) 7000 grs per pound), primers $3 per 100), Bullets $12 to $40 per box 50/100 depending on brand. If you only have a couple rifles and dont shoot much its not worth it other than the fact is you will be able to make your own ammo if the wicked witch of New York becomes our next leader. Scares the crap out of me!
If you own lots of guns saved your brass and inherited your dads reloading equipment you can reload for about a third of the cost of a box of new premium ammo.(Example: 300 Ultramag $50 per box - reloaded for $11 ) There are always accesories I forget as I have been reloading for over 15 years. Tumblers, dial calipers ,case trimmers etc... But if you shoot alot it would be well worth it or if you just want the security of knowing you can make your own ammo in a time of need reloading is the best option.

Thanks muliehunter, I think my dad has the stuff to do it. I think it would be fun to learn how to do it.

Here is a helpful link for people getting started into reloading. www.reload-nrma.com/intro-reload.html
Reloading is not hard at all you just need to be focused on what your doing for safety reasons. Not only is it fun but very rewarding when you take game with ammunition that you hand made. You can also optimise your rifles accuracy by finding a load that works best with your particular set up
