Has anyone had any experences with NcStar scopes for handguns? Prices seem cheap for a quality scope. Any help would be useful.

Not with the handgun scope, but I had one of the Mark III scopes on my AR.

I wish I would have listened to the guys on here that said to wait until I could afford something a little more expensive...

Quality and NcStar don't even belong in the same sentence. Buyer beware!!

Well, it is what it is....

What can one expect for under $100?

I can't speak for the handgun scopes but I have an NcStar 4x32 on my AR and love it. I've been using it for more than 2 years now and it has never lost zero. Optics are clear, illuminated reticle switches from green to red and works like a champ...maybe I'm lucky who knows...just don't expect more than what you pay for and you'll be fine. up

Pure trash. I don't know how this company is still around. I bought one once for my AR and the scope was canted. Never again will I waste money on NC Star.

They are the same company as Tasco, aka, Trashco I believe.

I picked up one of the pistol scopes and mounted as a scout setup on my Guide Gun. So far it has held up to some hot 45-70 loads without any problems.

I DON'T want to talk about it, Brandon....

Bought it for $160, sold it for $50 shipped.

bang

Got a free scope from a buddy thats on there now, only problem is its a 10-40x and weighs more than I did in 6th grade...in the market for an m223 or Mark AR at this very moment.

NcStar, get what you pay for... as for company groupings, yes they are the old Tasco's.... but then again so are SuperSniper's which are better.

I have an NCSTAR on a 308 (came to me that way) and it's been fine so far. But it's babied. I wouldn't expect it to perform the same as my Mark 4 Leupold's; or even the Burris'.

If you are looking for a good pistol scope that doesn't break the bank look at the Swift scopes. http://swfa.com/Swift-Handgun-Scopes-C2693.aspx

Lifetime warrenty from a 80 yearold company. I have a couple of the 2X20 and one has survived a Contender in 45-70 and now sits on a 357 Max.
