If you have a "C" model, how bad is the flash, does it effect follow up shots, do you like it, etc. I am gonna get a couple of glocks but the "C" models are interesting. Just had to ask, have shot several glocks lately but not a C model

Thanks for your time

I have a C and like it a bunch. You have been reading the internet about the flash problem. It is not a problem.
Only problem is the front site will occasionly get black from the gun powder, wipe it off and good.
C's help you stay on target with follow up shots.

I have bad Tinnitus, (ear ringing 24/7/365). The doctor said that it was most likely caused by unprotected hearing while shooting. Since I never shoot anything without hearing protection anymore all I could say without experiencing the "C" model is that if you had to use it for protection, naturally without hearing protection, that the noise might affect your follow up shot. I know it would for me. I have heard that they are quite loud.

Have you shot it at night. Imagine being in a room at night and having to fire it. Depending upon ammo the muzzle flash and jets of fire/gas coming up thru the vents is pretty awesome. Also, in my opinion, the noise is much greater with a C model. Same scenerio, after the first shot any night vision you had is gone. Just my opinion for what it is worth.

I have a ported Springfield 1911. I will never own another ported hangun again in my life. WAAAAAY too loud!!! I am probably going to end up replacing that barrel with a non ported one some time in the future.

I have shot several ported hand guns, YES they are loud, but I wear electronic hearing protection for the last 4 yrs, even hunting! I am testing hunting load for my Glock 20 C(10mm) for a great load, next on my list is a Glock 21 C (45). The port at night looks a nitros purge...I like it!!

That night vision crap is not all up to par. Realisticly where do you go that there is 0 light?
You arent going to be shooting paper in the dark, if the time comes you will just be spraying lead. You night vision will be the last thing on your mind.

Oh one other thing, in your opinion, how much does it reduce recoil, if any

I have a 17c, really not needed in a 9mm but I thought I might like to shoot competion some day or something confused2

The 22c is where I noticed a bigger difference. Much easier to stay on target etc. Alot of this is because the glock is so lightweight.

The C models are definitely louder, but it shouldn't be an issue with hearing protection. The muzzle flash generally depends on the ammo you're using. Alot of the self defense ammo today is manufactured with powder blends designed to reduce muzzle flash. My .40 S&W Speer Gold Dot ammo has little to no muzzle flash, just some sparks.
