We would always have coleman heaters in the Blinds. You brought the can of propane and hooked it up. There is something to say about being warm.

Anymore ideas? I'm building a 4x6x6 and going to use all the ideas off this post. Pictures soon ( if it ever warms up).

My favorite that I want to do is a list of how far things are in the blind....ie feeder 100 yards, fence 250 yards, etc....great idea.
I have a few neighbors on my 37 acres and I don't want anyone shooting towards their house and being safe so I put an aerial photo of my place in the blind with instructions which directions not to shoot. This is in case I send someone to the blind that has never walked my whole place.

I took the "ranges" thing a step farther. I took actual pictures out each window, printed them out, wrote the ranges on the pictures and posted them in a plastic sleeve above each window. You could also add hazards, property boundaries and safe fire directions on the pictures. Probably overkill, but it works for me.

We use "T" post that are painted white for range markers..100, 200 and 300 yrds. Even with range finders today it makes a quick shot reference in the rut when deer are moving around a lot and time for a shot is quick. I have seen a really great blind rest that I will try to get a pic of and post it.

The best thing I've come up with is, the section between the window and the corner of the blind is plexiglass so you don't have to move around to see around the corners.
It's not an "window" that you can open, it just replaces the wood between the window and the corner.

Wrap a 2x4 with carpet that is long enough to reach across the blind to go with the sand bag idea. Like shooting from a bench and quiet.
 Dozer, mulched, and trackhoe work. Fencelines, senderos, tanks. Let me know if I can help with any dirtwork or construction.

i used to leave an unopen can of snuff in the blind in case i forgot mine

all great ideas. I keep some that foam copper pipe insulating tubing. Cut it to fit the window opening and just slide it over the window frame after i open the window. The foam is thick and solid enough to give a good rest. It is very quiet and is sticky enough to hold your rifle steady.

On the outside I added an angle to hook the electric winch to.Inside I added a shelf for my glasses,a gun rack and couch cushions for the bed
