I have and didn't care for it much. Some claim it to be the ribeye of the sky.

Yeah I was just trying to get an opinion on it, I had tried it and to me it taste like turkey. It Is very good if you know someone who knows how to cook it.

I shot my first crane this season. Haven't tried it yet but I plan on chicken fried crane and grilling it. I hear that it's the best and I hear it's the worst......

. . so you tried it and didnt like it !?!?!
Please keep hunting for them every chance you get.
Just so you wont feel bad about the meat going to waste;
Freeze it and same day ship to:

Hungrytown, TX

what ever you do, dont butterfly the breast pieces and marinate it like a steak. . . and then cook on a grill. Absolutely horrible that way. Just freeze and ship.

Cook it exactly like CF backstrap.

You won't be able to tell the difference.

If you don't like crane meat, you will never like any waterfowl.

We've grilled it, chicken fried it, stir fried it, ground it for hamburgers, made sausage with it, made soup with it and everything in between. Needless to say, we like it.

+1 about to do the same but thinly slice it and put it on dollar rolls with horseradish sauce for a super bowl party.

Had it on a charcoal grill with nothing but a little salt on it, and it was just amazing.

Ive ate it grilled with the bacon and jalapeno and liked it. Also made jerky out of it. That was good too
