does it greatly reduce your chances if you just sit in a truck? Also how often should you shine your spotlight around to look for yotes? Lastly, what is your favorite sound?

I would say sitting in the cab of a truck will limit you because you never know where a yote will come from. It will help you alot to stand in the bed and use the cab or bedrail as a rest if you dont have a high rack. Did it this way for for the longest before I got a rack. We run the light constantly while calling. My favorite sounds are any of the rabbit distress sounds. Hope this helps.

we used to call a bunch at night. get in the back of the truck and stick a lantern on the cab. it will cast the light out and not directly in any one direction. Start with a flicker call and then grab the shotgun with bb shot. the song dogs will come right in along with grey foxes, bobcats.

Setting in the truck limits your visibility so the back is better without question. Notice the name is Coyote Slayer is that what your intending to be after these questions? There are alot of past threads with tips and techniques if you search them.

You can call from the truck or go out on foot with a spotlight. I call from the rack on the truck. Getting more elevation will help visibility. Now the spotlight, run it just before you start calling and keep going until your done. The spotlight is your camo, the faster you get it on the animal, the less chance of being seen. Dont take the light off the animal after spotted cuase he will see you move. Stay behind the light too
