If anybody else went to Llano in Central Texas last year (06), please tell me if you saw one deer. I went on a 16-man hunt. 12 in one camp & 4 in the other. We did not see one deer...That's right in Llano, Texas.

16 people and 0 deer.

Please tell me who else experienced Llano 2006.

I did not hunt Llano but recently talked to a taxidermist there who said there were a lot of good deer seen early last year , but once the season opened they seemed to disappear. He said it was less successful than normal last year.

He said some good deer have been seen this year but there should be a good acorn crop and that may slow the deer coming to feeders early in the season.

I have a 700 acre year round lease in Llano County. Nothing to it for us to see about 25 deer per day per person. We took 16 does and two cull bucks last year as we are trying to manage the place.

I have a 600 acre year round lease in llano county. Last year was really good, but due to the drought could have better. We took 3 8's and 1 10 pt as well as a few does. It is very wet and green this year, but they are still paying alot of attention to the corn. Looking forward to November.

Hunt every year in Llano on a 2000 acre place. Saw about 10 bucks (young) and I can't even tell you how many does. My friend took a 138 class off the place and another took a cull buck for management. I have hunted their my whole life and not once have I gone out and not seen one deer. That is very strange. This year leamonka is right, tons of acorns. Interesting to see if they will be coming to the feeders as much.

Nice deer got to love those dark horns, I hunt a 2000 place in the north east conner of mason right on the llano mason line, and in five years i have never went out and not seen at least 15 deer, One of my friends shot a 147 BC 9 pointer last year.

Saw a ton of deer where I hunt. Killed 4, two of the does within 5 mins. of each other (not to mention 3 pigs). Probably hunted 10 days tops, saw deer every day. Oh, and with no feeders out. I've got feeders out this year!

In the three years I've been on this ranch, I've seen deer every time I've been out there, hunting or not. There's a couple of breathtaking bucks I saw last year while just driving around that I'm gunning for this year.
