Has anybody been watching Wild Justice? It has been interesting to see what kind of things game wardens come in contact with and how they go about handling their business.

I have the upmost respect for the wardens but this show doesnt make them look very good in the public eye. I have decided not to watch any more episodes. The wardens that I know do not act like them in CA

Isn't the best way to save face to keep the lower part shut?

I gave up after a few episodes too. I have the utmost respect for GW too, but the show just didn't do it for me.

And man do they grow a lot of pot in CA.

I have been watching the show, and find it quite interesting.

California ain't Texas, but how many of you actually know anything about the work GW's in Texas do?

Maybe if you would take time to read the Game Warden Blotter in the Lone Star Outdoor News, you would realize that GW's deal with more than just fishing or huntinmg with out a license.

GW's do more than just enforce game laws.

I think Wild Justice shows things the way they actiually are.

Whetehr you like it or not, Game wardens are licensed Peace Officers in the state of Texas, and as such can enforce ALL the laws of the state.

Whether they are Game and Fish Laws or driving without a seat belt.

It is a law and they can and do enforce them.

What is everyone's problem?

I realize they have to enforce the laws of the Peoples Republic of California, but when they start expounding on how cruel it is to hunt hogs with dogs and a knife, or even just spotlighting them at night, that was more than I could take.

I also think they get a little overly dramatic at times, but I attribute that to the fact they have to do that for the camera. It does show the types of things they get involved in that are not even game related, and that is the case in Texas as well.

I watch it when nothing else is interesting, and so I caught it tonight, the last bust was just sick. That guy has no business hunting. Almost seemed like a supressed serial killer waiting to come out.

I don't know that anyone has implied that GW's don't do anything but write tickets for no hunting license wanderer. The show is ridiculous because it is in California. Their hunting rules are crazy and so are the people. Good idea for a show, poor state to choose to follow GW's.

It might not have been said or implied by anyone on here, but there are lots of folks that think, that is all GW's do.

I agree that California has some strange wildlife laws, but, every state has odd laws when compared to Texas, and when Non-Residents that come here to hunt, they find some of our laws strange.

I also feel that there are better Game and Fish departments across the country that could/should be on that show but they chose California.

I'm up in the air on it. The guy they busted on last nights show with the snared bear that he just left there fit the "serial Poacher" description that the show likes to advertise. I think what turns us off is how over dramatic the show it on some issues and how a few of the wardens act when the camera's are rolling. I would be willing to be that they aren't that way all the time.

Another funny thing is dealing with the strangeness of the hog hunting in Cali opposed to here. They try to hunt people down for hunting hogs at night and make a huge deal about how illegal hunting is decimating the "Wild Boar" population in California. That's a load of crap. It's against the law there and they need to enforce that but the show goes way over the top on that issue. Right after that show I watch the WFAA special on how a special hog only feeder and poison is being developed and tested here in Tx to try and keep the dang hogs under control.

I've talked with several TX game wardens about their job, and while not necessarily common, they do expect to help out other enforcement officials on drug busts and such at times. In many rural counties there aren't many enforcement officials. When they need an extra person watching their back when they walk into a known problem deer camp, the deputy will help out. When he needs a friendly gun along for a drug bust, the warden helps.

I didnt care for it, give a kid a ticked for a barbed hook and let the weed slide???

The fella that ratted on his budy is a snake, and if his buddies did what he said well then like its been said you really do find your own level!

It was neat at first, but spent alot of time not knowing what was going on due to not knowing cali game laws. I will likely not be a return veiwer.

One of the reasons the California laws seem so dumb, has to do with the amount of Public Land, both state and federal, that is in the state, and the attitude or intelligence of the average citizen living there.

Nearly any of the states with lots of Public Land have some pretty complicated Game Laws in effect.

When you throw Federally owned land into the mix you get things like having wolves introduced into the wild, in spite of everyone's protests. except the Greenies.

In many ways, we are extremely lucky here in Texas that we have such a small percentage of Public Land when compared to Private.

If a person can't afford to hunt private that is bad and I wished it were a little different, but I really would not trade it for the systems in any other state.

I have never heard of any crazy laws in Montana and places that like that that have tons of public lands. I am sure they have some, but probably not as bad as CA.

My very conservative, gun owning, hunting son loves it. He said some of the game wardens were tree hugging liberals but some were hunters and seemed to be fair.

Those hog dog guys are terrible. Theyre poaching because they are hunting illegally, it's a law, so obey it.

Never said they were as bad as California, but Montana/Colorado/Wyoming all have laws that are different than what we have in Texas.
