I am in Lubbock and was quoted $295 per gun on a S&W .357 5" and S&W .38 Spcl. snub nose revolvers. I figured, and was told, that was pretty high especially considering the guns are in pristine condition, we are just wanting to remove my dad's initials from the frame. Like I said I am in Lubbock but travel to Fort Worth every 3 months. Looking for a good bluing or possibly a Belgian bluing. Contact me via here or at lumpylpffa@gmail.com. Thanks

Thats not out of line for Belgian rust blueing. It is a time consuming process, and you also have to account for polishing the metal.
If you want cheaper you can look into Hot Caustic Blueing, although it isnt as good as the rust blueing. It will run you about $150-$200, with polishing.
It doesnt matter what the current condition of the gun is. All of the blueing is going to be removed, and blemishes polished out. That is if you want quality work.

The $300 per gun was for "basic bluing" not belgium. I would hate to know his belgium price.
