43.5 Varget
175 SMK
F210M
2.810 COAL
Black Hills 1x fired brass, which is the same as Win.

Velocity will depend on your barrel. Runs 2630 in one of my rifles and 2700 in another with a 25" Krieger and is very accurate in both.

Target Load:

175 SMK with 44.8gr. H-Varget acheives 2714 fps MV out of my Savage 10 with a 1:10" twist and keeps it supersonic to 1000. Therefore your 1:11.25" twist may or may not stabilize it well. I would recommend trying Lapua 155gr.target bullets they have an excellent BC.

Hunting Load:

165gr. SGK SPBT pushed by 43.0gr. H-Varget that acheives 2740 fps MV. Your 1:11.25" barrel should stabilze that just fine.

YOU NEED TO FIND YOUR BEST POWDER CHARGE! Every barrel has different harmonics and needs a load tuned for that particular barrel.

1:11.25 is great for the 175's and will stabilize them just fine to 1000 yards. Now dealing with the wind, that's a whole 'nother issue. crazy
You're welcome and good luck.

thanks rrflyer,,sorry, what i meant was i have an assortment of brass to choose frm.. when i make up the load i will use similar head stamp brass.. just wanted to know what everyone prefers and in short why..

what applications do you load for is also part of this .. for instance i use remington brass w/ varget 44gns, remington magnum primers bcuz i have 1000 of em layin around and get good accracy frm them with sierra 165 gamekings, this load produces constant results out to 400 yds and any shot inside of that be it paper or animal i am positive i can make with this load and humanely kill what i am aiming at. but now i have been shooting for fun longer and longer distances and the load i have is insufficient so i want to change the game a little <<too competitive>> .. my 168 smk load does good (same as above but match king bullet) but i am starting to really have to force it when i break 500 to keep up with some of the other guys.. it's expensive enough to play this game but even more expensive to be ignorant and play.

thanks and keep it coming guys and thanks
