I just started reloading and I am wanting to load the 150 SST Hornady bullets using IMR 4350. Has anybody used this combo and if so how many grains of 4350 for a safe load.

There isn't much info on the 4350 with the lighter 150 gr Hornady, I'm thinking it would be close to the 150 Nosler Ballistic Tip.

I use 4831sc myself, I have alot of this. But 150gr. bullet weight loading will work,BUT make sure the load listed shows H4350 or IMR4350 they ARE different. (yes I did make that mistake) luckly found out before I pulled the trigger. Spent time with my bullet puller.

Will it work, yes, but 4350 is too slow to optimize performance with the 308. With 150gr bullets you should find a sweet spot between 46 and 47 grains of Varget.

Thanks, I went and got Varget this morning and loaded starting out at 42.5

I'll save the 4350 for some larger bullets

MY 155 scenar load is 46.6 Vgt, 2800 fps from a 20". I get a half inch grp out of this consistently. You should be close to this with a 150. Work up with caution.
