favorite bullet for whitetail go according to caliber

.300wby 180balistic tip

My Remington .270 loves to shoot Remington 130 grain Core-lokts, but the deer hate the results.

Winchester E-Tips did the job for me this past season. 2 doe DRT. I hit one in the spine. When I skinned her, I found that it had opened up a 7 X 3 inch hole into her chest cavity on the side of the spine that the bullet had entered on. I can't exactly figure out the physics/anatomy for that, but the ammo (270 Win) was effective.

My handloaded Sierra bullets in any caliber.

I load mostly Sierra bullets, some Nosler BT, Barnes triple shocks, but under 200yds a flat base bullet, long range gets boattails. Hunting with hand loads since 1985.
