Well we've been screwed. The lease manager leased it to someone else yesterday without even calling me. I told him Sunday that we wanted the place and even offered to give him a deposit to hold it until I could find some hunters and he said I had plenty of time and that wasn't necessary.
I had some choice words for him when he called me. mad whip

Have a 500 acre year round place that I get to hunt for free year round for hogs, deer, and ducks in Hood county. I may have access to hunt 650 acres of family land in Palo Pinto next season for deer, hogs, and ducks, and am putting the deposit down on a 9000+ acre lease in San Angelo this weekend.

I live in longview and am just looking for some land around the area around an 1hr to 1hr 1/2 drive for me and my dad. We already have a lease out in west texas that we have been on for 19years now, so we are very good responsible hunters, we are family oriented. We arent looking for anything big just something that we can get on and see some deer and is close enough to home that we can get in the woods most days of the week. If anyone has anything or knows of any land please pm me, that way i have the apportunity to let you know more about us and what your plans as well as are for hunting and land mang.

Thanks for any help
Jaems C.

My wife and I are looking for a new / better lease also.
I haven't stopped looking for a lease for the last 7 years.
It took 4 years of full time looking to find the place we've had for the last 3 years.

Finding decent leases NW of the DFW metromess is dang hard work.

The lease is on the Pacos river.
I’m leasing 2,500 acres In Terrel county South East of Sheffield. The lease is sectioned off into 4 main areas. An old friend of mine backed out on me yesterday. So I’ve got an 665 acres area with water and power hookups that is open. The lease has not been hunted for 8 years and has a very healthy population. White Tail, Mule Deer and Turkey. It is year Round access.
Respectful Hunters only. I am asking 8,500$
PM me with any questions.

It is more just pure dumb luck. I have hunted the Hood County lease the last 5 seasons as a guest hunter, waiting for a spot to open. The Palo Pinto is being worked on and would strictly be a family lease. San Angelo just fell into my lap from a close family friend that let my dad and I know about it Tuesday, just have to have the money to them this weekend to hold our spot.

Am now. Our group had been on for 7 years and out of the blue; we were told we wouldn't be renewed. No real particular reason given. Says he may use it for a family bow lease now. Our thoughts are that he's looking to make a bow only lease and increase the amt. of people. Not sure why he wouldn't ask us though if that's the case! Never one issue or complaint that we were aware of. Just wish people who lease land would give you long term deals these days. 7 yrs on a lease you can accumulate a lot of stuff!! Now the work begins. It's so frustrating to have to move all of our stuff. Not to mention; we topped off 6 feeders @ the end of the year to prepare for yr round feeding

Myself and a group are leaving our leases. One group(me) is losing out to family splitting the land and the others rancher is getting up in age.
Would like to find a place for around 6 hunters, 2 hours or so drive from DFW.

Yes,I know.... mission impossible!

I am going to look for a lease this year after not leasing for a couple. I have a big Monarch feeder looking for a spot to throw corn…. But THIS time, I am going to deal with the land owner… I’m OK if it’s not huge acreage.. want to work with the land owner to manage game and I don’t mind working and helping out to fix fences etc… a place to bring my son and daughter and be out doors. There’s my wish list… LOL

I guess you have pretty much a Turkey and hogs only lease, judgeing from your website pics,
I am a easy lease member, leave it like I found it, but I'm more interested in a deer lease then anything else,
Got my share of hogs when I lived in Matagorda county.

Looking for a deer lease,
tired of driving 6 hours each way to hunt.
Looking for a lease closer to the DFW area,
2 hours from Greenville in any direction that has deer would get my interest

I'd like to hear about the lease in Red River County.
I saw some nice bucks back in the 80's when I hunted outside of Clarkesville.
very interested

Hi,
I'm hoping a couple of spots open up in a lease near Paris or Clarkesville areas,
My son and I are tired of all the driving just to get to the lease when it's 6 hours away, hard to hunt in the morning when you have to set up camp at 9 o'clock at nite.
If anyone knows of something , please let us know,
Thank you for your time,
Blessing's
