So my dad was in the market for a LA 30-30 and came across one of these for a decent price. He cleaned it up and took it to the range and it shot pretty good. It does have some slop in the action and that's fine as it is a pretty old LA rifle.
My issue is that when I was checking it out yesterday, I was really fairly impressed for what it is, then I dropped it on it's butt and the hammer dropped. Not a big fan of that happening. It took a few times to reproduce it but it did do it again so it wasn't coincidence.
I told my dad he needed to be real careful with it and he just shrugged it off because I found a "fault" with his newly purchased gun.
Am I just being picky or are there other people that think that's ok?

Prolly need to have another trigger assembly installed. Guns that discharge without pulling the trigger are dangerous,,,,and scary.

That's what I tried to tell him, but he insisted that he'll be fine.
