Driving back to ramp we saw a wounded beautiful redhead. It would have been no problem to reach down and add him to our strap. 50 yards away we saw one floating. Im hopeing it wasnt someone who chunked them out.

What would you do? Leave them or pick them up. We left them. The hobbled duck was still alive. It had a small chance of life, but still a chance.

Hmm, if it were wounded and suffering. I'd end it from suffering, provided it wouldn't put me over the limit.

Since my last three hunts I was skunked, it would have been that animals lucky day.

Reach down, pick it up, check it for a band then chunk it back in. Honesty...

If it wouldn't put me over my limit I would turn the boat off and shoot it send dog. I don't want one that is already dead since you don't know how long it has been but if it is wounded I don't want it suffering. If I was at my limit I would still shoot it though...again, I don't like to see'em suffer.

Pretty much the same, I'd shoot the wounded one and add it to my bag. However, I would NOT shoot it if it put me over my limit, not because it is the right thing to do but because you never know who is watching with binocs and for how long they've been watching. Warden might not know why you just shot a duck you didn't take home.

The dead one is gonna stay floating. I almost picked up a dead duck that I believe another party near me shot yesterday morning and was unable to retrieve, but, they were a mile away, and the wind kept changing, and for all I know it had been lying for a few days and just happened to come by me.
