 Duck hunt in God’s country

Me and Charlie the Duck Dog (Anthony) headed out west this past Sunday to do a little duck hunting, scouted Sunday and hunted Monday and Tuesday. Had a couple fisherman tell me about this place couple years ago, so this area has been on my radar for a while, finally got to hunt it. Monday was slow and steady, shot one greenhead and 8 widgeon. Tuesday we smoked them, first volley we had 8 dead ducks on the water, sent Molly to get those. After she retrieved those, we had our next 4 within minutes. Molly did great, only sent her twice, it was 12 to 15 degrees. Shot one pintail drake and 11 widgeon on Tuesday. Below is a couple pics from Monday..

I like how the 9 bird hunt was a slow hunt. I think that ties my best hunt all year.

the thing about baiting is, even a rookie hunter could have a 170 bird season if they bait holes
