What would be the best caliber rifle for shooting coyotes, pigs, and occasionally a deer? Any feedback is appreciated

i have used a 257 stw (100gr balistic tips)to take coyotes, bobcat, deer, and hogs but take the 338 win mag (250gr partitions)for straight hog outings.

A .243 would be my choice. You will have a great deal of different bullets you could use.

Definitly 7mm-08. A .243 will work, but is a bit light for deer and big hogs unless shot placement is near perfect. 7mm-08 energy is just slightly less than a .270, but has milder recoil and a short stroke action and is very flat shooting. This cartridge is not only available in many bolt action rifles, but also in the new Remington AR-15 type varmit rifle configuration.

My choice for the hunting you mentioned would be 25-06.
