I traded for this gun it has a 21 inch vent rib rem choke barrell anyone hunt with a short barrell like this?

I never owned one of those but did use a friends one day dove hunting, worked fine less than a box of shells for a limit of dove. A longer barrel on a shotgun does give a longer sighting radius and the added little extra weight out front helps with swing but you really loose nothing in velocity or performance with the shorter barrel.

That would be awesome to carry around and jump shooting some ponds

Ithink it would make a good quail gun but i dont get to do much quail hunting these days. I used it dove hunting once but after missing the first 5 or 6 shots i put it up and havent shot it since. May have to swap it for a longer barrell.

i use beagles to hunt rabbits. i have a 1100 with a 22in. barrel. makes for easy swing in thick brush.
