I've used Remington,Winchester and CCI and they are all about the same as far as I can tell. CCI maybe a little more consistent.

My Grandson has one and jamming hasn't been a problem. However, I just bought some 40 gr bullets to use on my 22 auto that does jam. I'm hoping that getting away from the 36 gr stuff will help.

The Winchester I have is 36 gr. and the Remington is 40 gr. I think. I've had some duds out of both but no jams yet.

You should buy 5 or 6 (boxes of 50) different brands of ammo and see which one feeds the best and is most accurate. Then go find a few bricks and shoot only that!! I like keep 5-10 bricks of it's favorite ammo for every 22 I have.
22's can suprise you!! They all seem to like a certain brand of ammo.

Take a look atthe 36 grain HP CCI Mini-Mags. They are $7 per 100. No jams and performance as good as it gets with a 22. A bit more than the bulk 22s but well worth it. The bulk pack 22s are cheap for a reason.

A thing to keep in mind after the model 60's get kinda dirty they will have a tendency to jam so pick one of the cleaner burning rounds.

And as another thread states, you will need to keep this much on hand. "How much ammo should one have on hand at all times"? Read a recent "study" that recommended the following by firearm types. Rimfire Cartridges - 10,000 minimum.

My brother has one and shoots the reg bulk rem golden bullets in his, seems to stay the cleanest longest. If he shoots the federal lightnings in it, it will jam withing the first tube! I havnt found one yet that my ruger doesnt like. matt
