I recently had new strings, cables and dampners put on my Drenalin. I had it retuned and also bought new arrows (cx maxima hunters). Now my bow makes a hollow ""thunk" sound. It shoots good, just not used to the noise. solutions or answers welcomed.

My first guess would be that the cam may be out of time. You said you had it re tuned though. I'm assuming a bow shop did it?

Have you waxed your string? Did you add any weight to the string?

Beyond those two things, I don't know.

It was a bowshop and he put new surpressors. I have the strings waxed and no weight was added...I might have to go back and have them take a look at it.

Mine did that. made a thud after the shot. I put some of those wisker type silencers on the string and it thuds no more.

Check and see if they got the A2A lenght right. Sometimes, proshops fail to do so putting in too many twist in your string making your bow faster, louder, and stiffer to pull.

This may be a shoot in the dark and wrong direction... How old were your strings before? I can see how an old stretched out string (which may happpen gradually so it goes un noticed) could be like turning a string on a Bass down till almost silent, all that happend is the frequency got so low your ears couldnt hear it any more.... now if you thump that string and tighten it up, the audible sound comes back and louder as the sring gets tighter, just like putting a new bow string on... like i said, probly not even possible, but its the first thing that popped in my head.

Is your limbs maxed out? Mathews recommends you crank'em down all the way then back them off a quarter of a turn. That's what I had to do on my monster.

By weight I mean additional knocks or anything that would cause it to vibrate longer. (You probably knew that but just wanted to clarify.)
