For people to quit thinking deer hunting as a science project, and remember the reason they started hunting in the first place.

Be able to spend more time on the holidays with my family than what I was able to last year. Last year was not much for vacation time with family. I'd like to fix that this year.

x2 Just wondering, why would you like to see it go away? its more of a personal opinion, but i get tired of hunters who think they are snipers or military personnel. i've seen more than a few guys show up with short barreled tactical .308s and AR 10's that could't hit the broadside of a barn from the inside. If one wants to hunt with a AR because they enjoy it, thats fine.....but personally i think they (by design) are better left at the range or for specialty applications
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Im not a big fan of them, and absolutely hate shooting next to one at the range. That said I think it is mainly a fad, and that is probably why I dislike it the most, Im not a trendy into the lets do it because the cool people do kinda person. All that being said if a proposition comes up to ban them you can bet money I will vote against it, I stand completely behind our citizens rights to purchase own and posess whatever type of gun the want!

I would like to see the crooks in Washington D.C. stop blowing money they don't have. I would like them to ease our tax burden, pass laws to eliminate the idiot laws they already passed. Stop fondling old ladies at the airport and use PROFILING to catch extremist. I would like to see the states grow some balls and start enforcing their state rights. I would like to see Hollywood shut up about politics and focus on being prima-donnas nobody really cares about anyway.
Mostly, I would like to see Americans put their foot on the throat of an out of control government and start living their lives right. Help a neighbor, buy a gun, feed a kid, volunteer to coach. I would like to see the entitlement mentality go by the wayside and get people back to work. I would like to see the federal government get out of our way and let us do what we do best, managing ourselves.

There is just something that doesn't look right when someone has an AR next to a deer they killed. They are nice is certain aspects but I just don't care for them in hunting situations (other than pigs)

If one wants to hunt with a AR because they enjoy it, thats fine.....but personally i think they (by design) are better left at the range or for specialty applications The funny thing is this is probably just what traditional hunters thought about 1930 when people started hunting with bolt actions left over from the military! Back then everyone hunted with lever actions and until the model 70 in 1937 bolt actions were all military rifles. A lot of people used those guns in the military and liked them,it's same with the AR's. Like the bolt actions they are accurate and easy to use. They do look different but so did the classic bolt guns back then. Things evolve and the industry is evolving now. The younger guys coming into our sport like the look but the results are the same. A good hunter is not determined by the gun he carries but by his ethics and shooting ability. I still shoot a bolt gun, probably always will but I am happy to see anyone coming into our sport especially young people which we all need in order for the sport to survive. IMHO

No he's probably right about the wannabe's with the tacti-cool rifles. I've seen plenty at the range that think money buys automatic accuracy. Seems to be more prevalent with those weapons.
That being said I hunted deer this year with my 6.8 AR and enjoyed it. Would like you to curb the hatred for them a little. I still have a levergun and bolt action that actually get used more.

I have lever actions, bolt actions, single shots, single actions, double actions, semi auto's... Don't blame the guns. It's the person behind the gun that can't hit the target. Don't trash the car because the owner can't drive it.
