passthru and myself want to try this...........again. Any interest in a bow hog hunt out at Dos Plumas??? The place is in Trent Tx, not far from Abilene. I think its 250 for 2 hogs and lodging is included. We just want to get out and meet some folks and maybe stick a few piggies. Deer season is coming to an end, so this would be an inexpensive trip and RR. I will be happy to contact Allen and see how many he can take at one time, if we have enough interest. If not, no big deal, me and pass and a few of his buds may just do it.

FYI, you don't have to just do a hog hunt. There are other packages to do, exotics ect if your interested in such. You pick the package you want

Never been there but I bet it's a great place. Allen and I go way back. He used to be my mail man and then we hooked up and started coon and hog hunting together. Have'nt talked to him in a while since he started up Dos Plumas but just to let everyone know he is a great guy and blast to be around. When you talk to him again 7mag tell him Larry from Cleburne said hey....

Let me know when y'all come up with a date, I'm interested. I would suggest paying the extra and letting them furnish the meal's, you won't regret it!

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

Allan is a great guy. Whoever goes on this hunt will have a great time. He's got great animals and a great facility. I used to help Allan long time ago. Me and an ol buddy added a couple strands of fence for him when he got his Blackbucks. Both he and Lori are class acts. Great people to know. And don't forget to throw "the duece" for the pics.

Week days would work for me. Does he have stands for bow hunting or do we need to bring our own? or is it spot and stalk only

You can look at his place at http://www.dosplumashuntingranch.com/

The type of bow is between you and the ranch manager.

The only blood I've got on me during any THF hunt so far was when I hooked myself bass fishing at the last one.

Ok guys got off the phone with Allen(nice guy by the way) To book the entire ranch it would take 6 of us. He can accomodate 10, but it would be a tad crowded. The other bad side, he is pretty well booked until April, and I mean like full. There are 2 weekdays that we could get 6 in. The dates are April 11th and 12th, a monday and tuesday. It is a min of 2 days at 125 per day per hunter or 250 per person. Meals are an extra 50 per day per person or 300 for 2 days with meals. 2 hogs and average weight is about 100lbs a hog. My huge draw back. My oldest Sam graduates in May, I will be busy pretty much all that month and half way through June. Any other ideas or ??? confused2
