What makes a Super Grade? How can one tell if a Model 70 is a Super Grade?

Says Super Grade on the floorplate. Yep.....and I think some of them even say it on the barrel. They also usually have better wood, some have low profile sling studs, and I think most (if not all) have a black forend tip.

Nope, mine does not have the black fore end tip, but many, if not most, do. Excellent rifle!

My brother in law has a Super Grade pre 64 in 308 Norma Mag and yes its all original. Talk about a rare one. Bad thing was it belonged to his father and is in sad shape.
