Well, I couldn't take it any longer, finally had to get one for myself. I'm very pleased w/ the fit and finish of the rifle not to mention the solid feeling of the action. The rifle is fairly light w/ excellent balance - can't wait for my scope to get here, I'll sight it in and give a range report.

Congrat's on your new rifle. Which scope did you elect to go with?

Thanks! Bushell 4200 4-16x40 w/ Warne mounts & bases. I've got the same scope on my 700 '06 and have been very pleased w/ it - thought it over and couldn't come up w/ anything I liked better (for close to the price that is!)

How much was the ammo? Was the Ammo hard to find?

I purchased 10 boxes from MidSouth, had them shipped to my door, $20.66/box. I haven't seen any ammo on the shelves yet, but 4 Seasons in Orange (Where I bought the rifle) said he would start carrying some.

Can anyone put up a ballistics chart on this caliber? I'd like to compare it to the 30-338 wildcat.
