I've taken a few at the end of the season in years past that were still trailing. I also saw plenty of does with fawns in mid-November this year. Those fawns have to come in at some point.

Anyone else seen them chasing at year's end? Anyone out this weekend?

They're still chassing here but it's mostly the bigger buck's now, the younger one's are beat up and busted up pretty bad. We've found 2 buck's dead by the pond's and a half a dozen dead doe's so far. Seen one doe had 4 buck's chasing her the other day, when that happen's they're liable to run her to death.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

Just got back from what I guess is the lower Panhandle? We're 50 miles east and slightly south of Lubbock. Full moon hunting again and it was pretty bad. I actually had my first ever hunt there when I didn't see a deer in the pm hunt. Saw 2 young 8 pointers in 4 hunts and 3 does. Usually see 8 to 11 deer each sitting. Good luck with your hunt. The farther away from the full moon it gets should get better. We're in Kent county with Dickens county crossing the northern part of our lease.

On the bright side, my son-in-law Sgt. Angel Flores shot his first ever deer, a slick 6 right through the shoulder at 160 yards. He also shot two hogs, he's loving it and doesn't want to go back to Camp Pendleton LOL.

I got back this morning. Been in Collingsworth cty since last Friday night. Started out as bad as I have seen in 20 years. Warm, windy, and full moon. SUCKED. Last few days have been much better. Moon phase going down and cooler temps should be good for yall. Did not see many bucks that werent busted up. Times have changed. I can see 8 towers with binoculars from mine. When I put that sucker up in 94 I was all by myself. barf

Was up in Hall county Thursday morning looking at a new lease. The weather was cold and overcast and even riding the place in a truck, we saw quite a few deer both whitetails and mulies that were up feeding so if it stays cool I'd think that they should be moving this coming week.

They were moving this past week in Hall County. Tuesday evening, I saw movement from 3:30 pm till dark, around 14 different deer total. Shot two 400 lb hogs, and on Wednesday morning, what my taxi thinks is a hybrid whitetail/muley. He was running a doe, but stopped to pick up a few kernels. He never finished running the doe. smile
