Well, I just leased a property on the Red River near Quanah, Texas in Hardeman County. It doesn't have a ton of cover except next to river. I saw at least a 150 turkey on it and several hogs. Seen about 8 does while scouting and found several rubs, but nothing from a giant. I know it's supposed to be a good area, but I wanted some feedback from you guys that have hunted up there and seen or killed deer there. I mean what are your chances of actually killing a good deer up there? I may of messed up, but I made the deal and the checks in the mail to the land owner. So, any day now when the check clears I'll be going to put up cameras and protein feeders to see what's in the area. I did as much homework as I could. My buddy has a place less than a 1/4 mile from there and he says it's great, but they have way more cover and acreage. If you have pics, or feedback let me know.

we hunt a place near you that was a cotton farm till we put it in crp. lots of deer. we only have hogs come thru occasionaly. at any time you are liable to see a biggun. we are in the process of selling the farm at this time, so if you are interested i have a blind 6ft by 8ft carpeted insulated with sliding windows up there i need to sell. if interested pm me.

We hunt not to far from you in between Quanah and Vernon. This is a buck my dad shot this year and my brother and I both shot really nice bucks also. Our place is only 450ac but has good hunting.
