Good luck, man! Let us know how it works out - maybe you'll get a 'Christmas blessing' and all will be just as it was when you last saw it! Prayers up...

Thanks for the kind words guys.
Here's the deal. The only damage to the truck was to the door lock and the panel under the steering wheel where all the wiring comes into the fuse box. Nothing was missing except the Kimber. My holster, Oakley sunglasses, Toll Tag, Drake Jacket were all still there. Even my Mojo's in the rear toolbox were still there.
The guy at the tow truck yard told me that people were steeling these heavy duty trucks and parking them on the side of the road someplace out of the way for a couple of days. If they are still there then they know there is no tracking device and they will take them down to Mexico to use for drug running to and from the States. Thats why it was locked when the police found it. So nobody would steal it from them.

We had two guys at work with King Ranch F250's that were stolen weeks apart. Looks like an epidemic of stolen King Ranch trucks.

The smugglers like the King Ranch trucks because they can sell the backseats out of them easily. They remove the backseat and then pack the rear passenger compartment with illegal aliens and drugs.
They are also easily stolen.

Dang man, so glad the only thing you lost was your gun!!! Glad you weren't in it when they stole it! Material things can be replaced.... On another note, back in 1998 my buddy's truck was stolen (1986) Chevy street rod, just put in a new motor and trans and watch the guys drive away in it not more than 15mins after he got home! Truck was fast and the guys outran the cops! The truck was taken to Mexico, stripped, new vin tag and plates put on, repainted and about 3 months later he ended up buying his truck back unknowingly for $3,500!!! He found his lucky penny still stuck in the upper molding and that is the only way he knew it was his!!! Talk about crazy and just plain sick!!! Glad you got most of your stuff back! I had my 2007 Dodge Ram 4x4 at my moms and had some guys attempt to break in the front doors through the top of the window! Now I have weatherstripping that has to be replaced under my deductible! They used a coat hanger and couldn't get the lock heads to pull up!!! Thank god!!!

Here's my take on truck thieves... I got a Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 sittin outside my bedroom window that they can TRY to take. It sits behind locked gates at the end of a dead-end dirt road, with no neighbors, on a piece of property that's land locked and surrounded by East Texas thicket.
My 27-dog alarm sounds off every time someone hits the entrance to the dirt road about 1/4 mile out. If they still wanna come back here and mess with my truck, they'll have to get past the dogs - and every gun that their barking woke up.
Glad you got (almost) everything back and thanks for the heads-up on the truck thieving racket.

If you're an NRA member you have $1000 gun coverage. Just an FYI. Actually.....this has been bumped up to $2,500 recently. http://www.nraendorsedinsurance.com/

That's terrible!
Have seen a few cylinders damaged w/ seats missing. Leather seat covers aren't cheap! Had a few totaled because of the seats missing.
Had a few illegals at the lease a couple weeks ago. They destroyed a few things prior to getting caught. The Border Patrol caught a couple of them. I guess a couple others thought they'd steal a ranch Jeep and drive thru the check station! Didn't make it too far!! Thanks Border Patrol!

This 'no borders' carp with the current admin is getting ridiculous! It's time to set some 'surprise packages' along the border and dare 'em to friggin cross it!!!

Check your truck over for damage and pay real close attention while driving it for any unusual noises. Since your truck was locked the tow truck driver had no way of putting ot in neutral to load or unload it. I have watched them load a few of these trucks with it in park and it's not a pretty site, what's worse is the unloading process, they have no respect for your vehicles. Just FYI

I HATE THIEVES!!! Me too, Deerslayer... but you'll be happy to hear that on another thread here, they posted last night that the dog (think his name is JB) was found and is just fine! Mexican drug thugs are running a racket on mostly Ford trucks (preference for the King Ranch model) which involves stealing them, setting them locked on the side of the road for a couple days to cool while testing for an e-tracking device. If the truck is still there, they take it over the border to use for drug trafficking. Another stolen Ford had the guy's gun in it. No surprise the gun was gone, but the drug-thugs apparently had no interest in the dog. Thank the Lord!

Just FYI Thanks for the heads up. I told the dealership to check over the suspension because they went over several curbs rather quickly to get out of the parking lot away from any windows. I also told them to check over the ENTIRE motor because it was cold when they took off with it with all 25 pounds of boost. Those 6.0's already have head gasket problems with out throwing that into the mix.

depends on what homeowners policy you have as to whether it is covered. All companies sell diferent policies.
