Just got back from the lease out at Colorado City and it looks good. Saw all kinds of young birds both bobs and blues. Saw several pairs still paired up. Dove were every where. Lets just hope it holds.

That is good news on the quail. Please give us an update any time you are out that way.
Thanks.

I just returned Sunday afternoon from Westbrook- about 10 miles west of C-City. Dove EVERYWHERE. We were working on blinds and feeders and kicked up quail also...bobs and blues...many many....can't wait.
I think the quail will be close or better than it was two years ago.

we've had good rains at the ranch, but we're not kicking up alot of birds. i saw ONE while driviing south of yancy, and a pair while going to the in'laws in blanco county.
we're ate up with doves though, and that is better than nothing, but i was hoping to have at least one good quail hunt this year.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.
