Who is heading to N.M. to hunt the Jan. archery muley hunt and what unit will you be hunting. I'll be in unit 34. Look forward to this trip all year!!!!! Nothing like being in the mountains in the winter time. Clean fresh air and so silent your ears ring. If you have never hunted this hunt you are missing out!!!! Good luck to everyone thats going!

Thought about applying for this hunt but did not. Was not sure about stalking to within bow range in "Crunchy" snow. I know the rut is later in NM so maybe that will help??
Let us know how it goes.

TxTechsan you need to put in for this hunt! Its hit and miss on the snow. you can always find places in 34 that does not have snow. Your correct about the rut. They will be chasing a few does and you can rattle a few in. Been doing this hunt for many many many years and nothing compares to it!!!!!!

Well if you see one in camp don't look at him to close. What are you some kind of deer inspector? If your real nice, I might let you hunt one of my blinds.

Just jacking with you! Going to be nice being able to hunt the National Forest this year. I will have to hunt the water hole on the private land though. Are y'all staying at Rio Penasco RV?
