I really hate thieves. The kids probably live close by, good luck on finding it.

I'd be patrolling all nearby county roads looking for kids riding four wheelers. My guess is the thieves live or have relatives less than 2 miles away.

the kids will never learn if they get let off. Had some kids break into my truck to be caught months later. I got all my money back and still prosecuted. I dont regret it one bit.

That happened to a forum member here in Parker county. I work part time at a local truck dealership and we often have people try to trade ATV's in. What is it and Ill keep my eyes open.

Your neighbor is a fool and is only teaching these kids to steal "smarter" next time.

When my Son was younger and living at home, he got into some trouble around the lake. Nothing big. We went to see the JP and he was going to fine him $350. I told the JP that since my Son didn't have a job, I would have to pay the fine and it wouldn't impact him at all. I asked if he could give him Community Service instead. So he got 70 hours of Community Service at $5/hr. He had to work for the Community EVERY Saturday for 8-1/2 Saturdays in a row. I don't know if it taught him anything but at least he had to "pay" for his misdeed.

I'm glad they found your four wheeler. Someone stole mine and my neigbors the same night in 2008. It was the night before we left to go to the deer lease on opening morning. They never found either one of them.

That is flat out wrong to let the kids get away with it!!! They need to learn from their mistakes and thats not teaching them anything!!! I'm not for sending them to prison for years but like PrimativeHunter says let them work it off with community service or something like that!!!

I've been lucky the last 4 years to live in a neighborhood that the only crime committed was a neighbor's dog was shot one night,(we think it was mistaken for a yote), and now we have our house for sell so we can build a house on the lake that my wife wants,(actually I do too)!!!

I agree. Sounds like someone who knew he owned it and where he kept it.
