There he is. He is a good 8 point and i'm glad to have em. Understand the scorn- I do not wanna waste deer at all. Just was wanting input on a plan and this is the best place with most minds to do it.

The offhand 350 was not the initial shot. All I could see was head and neck.

Congrats, nice deer! Now everyone that was accusing him of lying about finding the deer can go eat crow.

As far as him shooting 350 yards offhanded, the way I understood it was that shot was taken after the deer was hit.

I think the only unethical shot on an animal that is already wounded is the shot thats not taken in an attempt to finish him off. If your only shot is an offhanded shot, and you know the deer is hit, I say shoot again.

I won't shoot at a duck thats over 40 yards away from me. But if I draw feathers on the first shot and it appears I got a decent hit on it, I will keep shooting until the bird falls or I've fired all 3 shots no matter how far away he is. If its a clean miss, once he's out of range I stop firing.

My father in law who was with me was the one that was emphatic there would be blood on the road if I hit it and that I missed. He is a veteran hunter compared to me and I trust his opinion. But after talking with ya'll and my buddy Brandon in Utah I figured the search had to be on and that i hit em.

Very nice buck. Glad you listened and kept looking. It's a sick feeling when you lose a deer and know you hit him.

Congrats on a great deer.

Cut the guy some dadgum slack! 350 on a wounded deer is fine in my book. Might try to get closer but hey whatever. Lots of crow needs to be eaten on here. Great deer man, congrats.

They run quick in the shinnery and then they're gone. Thought he was a 10 because of the thickness. He is what he is. I'm happy to retrieve em.

DUDE, CONGRATS ON YOUR AWESOME BUCK.

Good grief, people. This man thought he missed a deer and went on to recover a beast. Can we focus on what's important and stop pecking at him like a bunch of talk-show women?

I deserve some sh+t for not doing one shot, one kill. Lotta people don't even get a chance at a deer like that so im fine. Glad to have property and the opportunity.
