I like the 552's. They are well made and fun to shoot. For me, I like the BDL's but that is only because they are prettier!!!!!

I bought a Speedmaster from a friend years ago. It was hardly used and I have had a blast with it. This summer, a co-worker found a Fieldmaster (the pump version) at his grandfather in-laws and asked if I would like it. I gave it to my 12 yr old son and he absolutely loves it. When we duck hunt, it goes in the truck and we usually go through 70-100 rounds after each hunt.

It's hard to beat a 22 for just plinking.

A 552 was the first gun I ever shot. Very well made rifles reasonably accurate and love the ability to shoot shorts, longs or long rifles out of a semiauto. I have 2 now, one my Mother bought my Father in 1957 I think, and a classic model. Love the open sights on the older one.
