4 pages really?
Won't both guns shoot better than most shooters can shoot anyway?
I'm pretty new to grouping and can keep a .5 inch group with my 700 VTR in .308 That's out of the box. Don't know what more you want than that. no popcorn needed. Here it is, this was the first time I took it to the range. Nice group but you missed. Bet you would have hit it with a Savage.

I'm sorry, I bumped my head laughing so hard at all this Savage shoots better than a Remington BS that I forgot what all of our Military Sniper rifles are built off of. Can someone tell me which company it is that our guys are using to kick some towel head [censored] right now ?? Contracts are given to the lowest bidder!!!

If you feel that you need to spend hundreds of dollars on Remington rifles to get the best quality out there then go ahead. I like my money and I will continue to spend it on "cheap" and "ugly" rifles that will shoot lights out.

Can someone tell me which company it is that our guys are using to kick some towel head [censored] right now ?? I'm sorry too, I bumped my head laughing so hard at the idea that the US Govt's main concern when choosing firearms and equipment is quality. Hahahaha! You do realize you're talking about the US Govt, right? The "company" you're talking about that our guys are using to kick towel head [censored] is actually a bunch of companies; FNH, Beretta, Benelli, H&K, Remington, etc. The whole idea of any firearm being better than the rest simply because the US Govt uses it is ludacrise. Quality takes a second chair to cost efficiency and other considerations most all the time.

Anyone that compares the military's sniper rifles to out of the box production guns needs a reality check.
Yes, I have taken new remingtons and savages in the same caliber and equivalent grades to the range here at the shop side by side with identical scopes.... savage wins.
Believe it or don't.
As for qualified writers, believing what they read, is good for their business.... remember they are writing for who paid them to write the article and advertise in the magazine...

We are talking FACTORY guns, not a smith built gun. Why do so much customization to a perfectly fine shooting weapon? I could have mine re-barreled and trued with a new trigger and accomplish the same thing. I want a gun that will give me the most quality for the least amount of coin. I prefer HK pistols to Kimbers because I know that they will run straight out of the box, no need for feed ramp polishing, new springs, etc...

I enjoy the friendly banter and am not trying to piss anyone off. It's no different than the ole' boxer vs. briefs arguement. You like blondes and I like redheads.
