For actual accuracy loads and hunting loads I do but would you clean the pockets for plinking 9mm rounds? I do but it's a real pain!

All I load is plinking handgun loads and have never cleaned a primer pocket. Whether that is considered by expert reloaders to be right or wrong, I have no idea. I just know that I have loaded and fired many many thousands of them since about 1988.

I run the brass in the cleaner every time and just figure the de-prime pin opens the flash hole enough.

I do. No real trouble to do it.

It all a part of the fun of reloading, I enjoy every step, however I have not yet started high volume loading for handguns, only rifle cartridges so far.

Oh yeah I love it too, just cleaning 200 pieces of prices that I'm just going to plink with gets kind of old after a bit!

I clean all of my primer pockets every time. It's just part of the process.

For pistol...every couple of loadings.
For rifle...I clean em all.

I clean only after the brass has been primer pocket uniformed, and flash hole deburred. But that's for centerfire rifle ammo that is Sub MOA.

No, but I've only been reloading since 1968. Did try it once on some benchrest ammo but couldn't tell any difference.
