Well finally had some time away from school to do some scouting and get a hunt in this past sunday. Lots of birds but they didn't decoy quite like I wanted them to. Still killed a typical central texas (including spoonies and ringers) 3 man limit in about an hour. So i can't complain to much.

We have only killed one wigeon and one gadwall, so that tells me one of two things? could be wrong. The lack of rain has all the birds we normally see in a different part of the state or it hasn't gotten cold enough up north to push them all the way down to us.

Scouting for Sunday

The spread

Me with the limit

Some of the birds in the blind

I graduate from A&M tomorrow and then will hopefully be unemployed through the end of the season, then I'll continue the job hunt. Hopefully many more pics to come.

Eric

We've only shot 2 Widgeons all season. We usually shoot a ton. They are here just not wanting to play. I think they know I have killed alot of their kin. Still plenty of Gaddies though.

Don't go hunting for a job, you'll find one. Be smart and enroll for your masters!

Trying not to put to much effort into it. It took me 5-1/2 years to get my engineering degree, I can't make myself go to school for another day. A company is flying me to Midland sometime before christmas so the whole job things is already cutting into the duck hunting.

Congrats on graduating!! That engineering degree from A&M should help out alot with the job search. Good luck with the job search and (hopefully) having alot more time to hunt the rest of the season.
