I have tried my very best but I just can't seem to keep a firearm for a whole season. No real ryhme or reason to get rid of them but I have now passed approximately 50-60 firearms through the classifieds.

I had goal firearms, finally got them, thought they were perfect and still sold or traded them for something different. Don't know what it is going to take to finally just quite and stop buying and trading year round...

Wife says the same thing about me and guitars. (she doesn't know about all the gun trading) But, that's part of the fun of the hobby to me.

Throughout all the swapping and selling I've done over the years, I've got 2 guitars that I will never get rid of, and probably 3 or 4 guns.

You'll eventually find some guns that you'll want to keep. Until then, just enjoy them all. And TRY not to lose too mush money. 2cents

i have not gone through as many as you, but have done a few sales over the past few years and really want to avoid doing anymore.

i had this problem with golf stuff before and realized my handicap never changed.

Everyones goal in life should be to own and play with as many firearms as possible! Sounds like you are well on your way to achieving that goal!

Just enjoy the process. I started keeping a ledger of how much I paid or traded and how much I sold one for. That slowed me down a little. I tend to wait until I get the amount I want now...

Besides, gun ownership isn't monogamy, play the field...

My problem is that I am very good at the buying part and can't bring myself to terms with the selling part.

I buy guns but I don't get rid of them.

I use to be the same way, but it got to the point that the only way I could afford a new gun was to sell one I already had. The first few sells are the most painfull but it gets easier after that. It almost feels like sellin one of your kids or something the first few times you do it.

There must be a few of us with the same two afflictions. The Craigslist musical instrument section and the classifieds here take up way too much of my browsing time. Occasionally the two interests actually converge. Two weeks ago I traded a guitar for a gun!

My prob is I buy and buy and buy. The trade or sell part I keep forgetting about... Nothing like being able to reach in the safe and grab just the right tool for the task though. I might could get by with either a .22 or 30-06 as my "just one gun" but where would be the fun in that. grin
