As the title says: I have 200 acres in Jack Co I hunt and plan on buying some quail and pheasants to release to train/work with my 6 month lab in February or March. I need him ready for our family farm in South Dakota next year so my old brittany does not show him up. I come from a family of anti-lab; strictly britts. So here is the catch. I really don't want to drive to Jack Co every time to release birds. I I work the basics. Fetch. Release. Come. Back. Down. Stay. Would anyone be interested in joining with or without a dog that has land near north DFW. I pay for the birds; you provide the field and hunt and go home with some birds Tim

This is a great offer, cept I'm 275 miles south of you. I live across a 3,500 acre ranch. There are some wild coveys a half a south of me, but I don't shoot them. I have a Johnny house a half a mile north of me on the same ranch, and I don't shoot my johnny house birds.
I hate to go get the birds. Someone needs to jump on this.
Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

I don't mind drving to Jack Co. It would be nice to stay close to home and hunt a few mornings. I'm going to check with the farmer behind my house to see if he will allow me to plant some birds in his pastures.
I just need to work the new pup before we go hunt in Dakota. I am bound to show up my brittany.

All we need is a field with some cover to place the birds. I found a place in Trention that has birds. I'm in McKinney.

I may be able to get you on a place in Justin. Let me know if that would be of interest.
