I have a Stoeger condor o/u 20 gauge, but I'm looking to upgrade to a 12 gauge in something a little nicer. Right now I'm looking at Franchi I-12, Remington 1100, and Remington 11-87. Can anybody make any recommendations, especially in making a distinction between the 1100 and 11-87? Is the Franchi any good?

the 1187 is a new and better version of the 1100,both are heavy the 1187 will shoot 2 3/4 up to 3.5 with the 3.5 chamber,1100,2 3/4 only with standard rec. or 3in only with mag rec. both are good guns i still have a 1100,got rid of 1187 to heavy, but would like to have another with 3in. chamber....

PULL the TRIGGER, SHOOT to KILL!!!

I have a browning a5 and a Benelli Super Sport. The super sport is great for clays, dont think I would shoot it during the season considering its carbon fiber. But there are alot of great brands out tehre. Hope you find what you like.

I like the Franchi I-12 I bought at end of last season. I don't have a whole lot of experience with it but so far so good. Here is another thread on the topic.

Franchi I-12

Hard to beat an 1187...Stop by the gun counter at Cabelas Fort Worth and ask for me, Tom Walker, and I will be more than happy to help you select a great shotgun from our massive collection
of new and used shotguns...

The stoeger i got i like quite a bit, but its got some issues. first it would only fire the top barrel, but the trigger wouldnt reset for the second shot. also, occasionally the action wont open. i really like the way it handles though, it fits me really well. the 12 doesnt feel as good as the 20, so i wouldnt recommend it.

Dang. Why did I see the price of $799 at Academy the other day? I could swear it was that much at BP too. Was it on sale?

I think I'm calling on a brand new 11-87 for $400. Maybe used or maybe another semi.

I purchased a Stoeger 2000 semi 12ga last year from Cheaper Than Dirt for $500. Low recoil and I'm recoil intolerant. It does a pretty good job on clays and other things.
