My first suggestion is to not listen to what fits other people good. These other people are not you. Shoots as many different bows as you can from as many manufacturers as you can. One bow does not fit two people the same. The fanboys will try to sway you to their type of bow. I currently shoot an Elite and an Athens. This is because they fit me the best. So after all this. Shoot what fits you not what fits other people.

Check Outdoor Pro Shops in Garland on Beltline. They have good pricing and selection. I shot 2 different bows there today to see which one fits me better. Good people there.
Jim A. Look before you shoot You Kill it You Clean it.

Jim, So does your boss know you were bow shopping on company time? Did you get an offer for your old bow? I'm thinking about going in there either today or tomorow to shoot.

I shoot a Mathews Z7 and my 21 year old son shoots a Hoyt Maxxis. Generally you get your first bow and you stay wiht that brand for a long time and through several bows. However, I shot my son's Maxxis and I must say that it gives the Z7 a run for its money.
You need to shoot the Hoyt before you make your decision. I hate to say it, but it really is a sweet shooting bow. This is my second season with my Z7 and I am not going to change for at least two or three more seasons, but the Maxxis really is a nice bow.
I shot that Carbon Matrix and it is nice, but it is not worth the extra money compared to the Z7 or Maxxis. It is crazy expensive.
Mathews Z7 Bow for Whitetail and Hogs Remington R-15 .223 REM for predators I also like to "hunt" sporting clays with my Benelli SuperSport!
