I had a guy tell me some East Texas counties have started paying hunters bounties for hogs ears. Has anyone heard anything like this or is this guy smokin left handers?

seems like you hear about this every once in a while, but nothing ever seems to come from it. hope its true. i have a couple places i could go east texas way!

Van Zandt county had one 8-9 yrs ago but I'm not sure about now.

Van Zant county did but no longer does (they realized how much offering a bounty was going to cost them) and I dont know of any other counties that do so now

I honestly dont remember what they were paying, its been so long ago... I think the state should quit giving millions of dollars to Texas Tech and A&M to study hogs and just use that money for a bounty.

One county is paying $2/scalp the last time I heard, but the Wildlife Management Association for the county is paying members an additional $10.
