For awesome Cajun food hit up "Miss Lou's". (I think that is where 4x4willie is trying to explain) It is right off of Ft Hood street.

There is a pretty awesome Puerto Rican place off of Rancier, dont remember the name though sorry.

For awesome "home cooking" look up "Granny's Diner" in downtown Killeen. It is the lady who runs Miss Lous mother that runs it, and man they have a mean pork chop plate.

Cajun-KG's take a right on 2410, go about 3 miles. It will be a small shack on your right. REAL cajun food.

Barbeque-Top Choice off business 190 right before W.S. Young next to an oil change place. Great lunch combo's with tender meat.

Plenty of choices around there.

They even have beer now, including take-out! Between them and the new Dollar General, no need to drive all the way into CC or Lampasas for "emergencies". grin

Gatesville has some good food. Ranchers.....corner of HWY 36 and HWY 84. Also steakplace in town that used to be called Andy's...not sure what the name is now but it is across from the McDonalds there in Gatesville right across also from Guns Unlimited which is a great place for buying some guns.....

Shhhhhhhh better to be quiet than remove all doubt..

Kg's for cajun is pretty hard to beat. And for mexican, head to Alfredo's. It's between Kemoner and Lampasas off of 190. Here pretty soon though they're moving into Lampasas off of 281. Best mexican food anywhere

Mels Burgers in Copperas Cove. They only take cash but they have an ATM there.
