My brothers buddy was hunting last weekend and here is the result. My brother tells me that he swears the barrel was clear. Very lucky to not be hurt. I told them to get me the photos because of the other Novas I've seen on here with random exploding barrels. On another note, I'll stick to my Brownings.

What would be in a barrel in order to make that happen?

Fair enough...I'll give you the Fed's and I'll take the Win's for a 5 spot.

I watched an extrema blow up shooting Xperts. So dont do and knock a gun maker cause someone had a barrel explode. I've seen it happen to Rems, mossys, and Berettas as well. Everyone of the shooters swearing the barrels were clear.

I'll still let ya out of it...just all in fun. That and I didn't bet any football yesterday so evidently I have some money I want to give to someone roflmao

Everyone says they knew their barrel was clear. Well the fact of the matter is no one looks down their barrel after every shot so they don't know. The other fact is they don't mushroom like that without something stuck in the barrel. It is sad and it stinks but it happens and hopefully no one gets hurt.

DOnt beat up o shell manufactures either. People shoot loads that have rust on em, all kinds of things can happen. I shoot experts 100% no problems.

I do have a Nelli with a slightly belled barrel right in the middle. It was used in 3 days of shooting when it in extreme cold weather, flooded timber ice thick enough to ride 4 wheelers on type cold.

Lot of variables I think it could happen to anyone gun, any shell with the wrong conditions. Just glad your buddy is okay.

anybody see the mythbusters where they welded a metal plug in the end of a barrel and the barrel never exploded, just expanded in the middle

Guys, I know something had to be in the barrel for this to happen. However, It seems everytime someone post a picture of a shredded barrel it happens to be a nova. The other manufacturers barrels do not appear to break apart as violantly. Very lucky....

the only reason only nelli's are posted for the exploding barrel is cause everyone knows they are the best gun you can get on the market and they just want to try and hurt that reputation

I bet it happened on the third shot too, that's when you wouldn't notice. Bang, THUMP, Bang barrel explodes.
