I am thinking about taking my dad out to Bardwell to duck hunt and have never hunted there before. We'll be hunting out of a Jon boat with a trolling motor. Does anyone have any advice and how is the hunting there???

Just hit the launch at first light listen for shooting head that way. if he is an early bird kinda guy he can troll around the lake and watch for flashing lights and just pull up next to one

Just squeeze in between the first two spot lights. Great way to make new friends as well.  That's how I met GR.

It's loaded up, be careful on the johnboat because all of the ducks flying around may knock you off. Solid green out there.

I went to high school with a guy who duck hunts a lot down that way. He is a fireman in George town. Name is Brandon.
You guys know him?

I've hunted Bardwell many times, but only walking in. I have never had good luck out there with the ducks.

I've been to Bardwell several times just never Duck Hunted there and I have duck hunted alot in my life. My dad is supposed to scout it out some more tomorrow.
