Is there some sort of medium that you can take out into the field with you that you can plug your Compact Flash cars into and download the pictures from the card onto. I want to say I have seen one before. There are times I dont have a laptop with me when I go to download so I want something that I dont have the bring the camera or the card back with me.

heres some more. the digimate III is about $84 usd....do a search for....Photo Bank Storage CF...on google. i dont know if you have to with all of them but most of them you have to get a notebook hard drive and install in it. they support 1G-80G HDs.

The thing is I dont need the device for viewing. I just need it to download the pics of the card onto the device then whipe the card so I can put it back in. I found some devices, however they are very pricey.

Maybe I am just over thinking this but why not just buy another card and when you go to the field swap them out and take the one with the pics home and then just swap them out again the next time. I just got 2 one gig cards at Walmart for $18.
