There are no deer in Glasscock Co. And if there were, they wouldn't be any good...same goes for Sterling. Nothing to see here, just move along please...

ok rockinu, ive hunted ranches in glasscock county in pass several years. There is alot of deer there and some big deer. As a matter of fact there is a ranch called the sucks outside of gardencity that has had two non-typical deer that hit 200. you dont hear about them because it is a very private ranch and only family is allowed to hunt it. But if youve hunted around west texas all your life theres no doubt youve heard of the suggs. Would give anything to hunt that place.

No, no double, you are mistaken...no deer here, nothing to see, just semi-arid and rough country...maybe a few jack-rabbits...move along now...

I know I'm not mistaken because I personnaly killed a double drop right outside of gardencity. The reason this is such a great spot to hunt is because most people have the same opinion as you do. Nothing there not worth hunting.

I agree RockinU...I have never seen any deer driving from San Angelo to Midland going through Water Valley and Garden City.

Oh wait, there is that one field on the south side of the hwy that is always covered in deer...no wait, I believe those were just brown colored goats and sheep. Your right...nothing to see!

It's an on-going joke in here that "There's no deer in West TX".
Regardless, I really want to see some pics of this guy.

All I can say is when I drive from Snyder to Ozona after dark, I'm scared to drive faster than 40 mph. Already hit a turkey in September late in the evening that did enough damage at 60 mph to my headlight and grill, don't want to find out what a deer would do.

Your not getting it are you?

I've hunted Sterling and a close friend has two bucks over 150 on his wall from Glasscock, low fence.

But these were RARE freaks of nature, Glasscock and surrounding counties generally suck for deer hunting.

You talking about the one just west of Sterling City? Man that place killed me EVERYTIME we would drive to our lease in Bronte from Odessa we'd hit that field right at sundown and it would be loaded with those brown colored goats. haha
