So I have been havinf trouble seeing my pins clearly through my peep sight the last year or so. Tried different peeps and sights until I was blueeeeeeee in the face. Yesterday I was sooting my bow and my string broke after my arrow released. So I go to the shop to get it replaced and talk to the tech. While there I mention it to him and he fixes it within 5 seconds. This has been driving me nuts forever. Tried contacts to everyones suggestion but contacts just don't fit well in my eyes. The tech had me adjust my anchor point to where the string no longer kisses the tip of my nose to now where it just kisses the SIDE of my nose. The problem was that with the string on the tip of my nose I had to look towards the center of my glasses and as everyone knows the outer edges of prescription glasses are blurry and that was causing my issue. Sorry the post was so long but just wanted to share this in case anyone is having the same problem.

you have other options then a peep sight! i dont have a peep sight on my compound. i use what is called a rear sight, if thats the proper term? but my eye sight is okish but i shoot better with my sight then with the traditional peep sights. i heard from some older gentleman that its easier for them, cus of age an glasses. my opinion is go for the rear sight i have a picture on my phone if your not sure what im talkin about. my number is 210 209 0385 if you want to txt me i can send you the picture smile

also maybe your draw length is wrong? thats why you cant get a straight clear shot trough your peep sight ? your positioning is off ?

Oh man I feel for ya. I had eye surgery and now I'm R20/15 and L20/13. I know shooting with my sunglasses on is a no go for me, can't imagine how bad it would be with script glasses.

I shoot with both sunglasses and script glasses. No a pro but seems like your draw is to long. IMO

I had a similar problem with contacts. The problem was that I wasn't prescribed the right SIZE Lens for my eye.

Cost me a BIG tom turkey one time. My contact fell out of my eye when I was trying to aim. A poor fit was the culprit. No problems anymore.

I can wear my glasses or perscription sunglasses and shoot through a peep and have never had an issue. I'm not even sure I understand how it would be a problem. I anchor with the tip of my nose but my glasses have never come into play. I would think that you might have a seperate issue rather than the glasses.

I am not sure but I know when I bring the string to the tip of my nose it forces me to look look towards my nose and thats where things get fuzzy. I am by no means an experiened bow shooter but I have always had that problem until I brought the string to the side of my nose. Maybe it is something in my body/head position. ANy thoughts are welcome

well it is cheaper to practice with a bow then with a rifle. i heard alot of guys putting the string to there nose? i bring it off of mine about a inch or two when i shoot. but i dont use a pep sight. but i draw back to where i touch my knucle to the bottom of my eye socket.but using a different style or technique when practice shooting would not hurt any maybe just draw back an kinda keep your face away from the sight a lil an line up like thatthen move in a lil bit ? but practice practice an dont worry you will get over this lil bump in the road. an good luck out there

Glad they helped you find the solution. Sometimes it can be the simplest things that fix the "biggest" problems.

I struggled with this same problem. When I turned 30, I got glasses. I had been shooting for years without them. My problem was very dependent upon the type of eyeglasses and shape of the lens. I had to adjust anchor a bit so that I could look through the center of the lens not the edge near the frame. Now, when I get tired during a long session, I will start to get blurry pins or worse two sets blurry sets of pins. I know I'm not squaring up the lens and I'm looking through the edge of the glasses. Also happens some times if I'm twisted up in a tree stand.

I wear glasses and I had some trouble with peeps. I am currently using the Meta peep and I am not having any issues with it so far.

Well just a quick update.... With adjusted anchor point I got my first ever bow kill on Friday morning. Turned the ol' air compressors off on a 4.5yo doe at 22 yards. She ran 77 yards and crashed.

Congrats on the deer! I'll have to remember the blurry vision thing, I wear glasses and if I start having problems I might try what you did.

I have the same problem. Due to the closeness of the peep and sights my prescription doesn't focus at that range. You can't correct the vision problem but you can get around it, or over it in this case. I just drop my glasses down on my nose as far as comfortable and then when I'm sighting I just look over the top. My new bow is set up with front sights only, no need to drop the glasses with that set up.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.
