Went to academy and picked up a new orange hat. They don't carry a lot of upland gear....

Randy T,

Stratford? We'll be there also Saturday and Sunday, hunting with the Stratford Education Foundation's hunt.

I've heard from some folks here in Justin who know some custom cutters that cut in Hansford county that they saw lots of birds this year.

I cannot freaking wait.

Hey flushem,

What's the best steakhouse in Dumas, that's where we'll be staying. I know as a kid, it was K-Bobs, are they still even open?

There is a new place called 287 Roadhouse that we ate at last year and it was very good. You can get steaks and a cold adult beverage there that are IMO the best in town! Also check out Albert's for breakfast. They usually have a ham and egg special that is great. Just be careful how much you eat at Alberts in the mornings because it makes it tuff trying to walk those 1st couple of fields. Who are you hunting with up there?

I seem to be detecting a lot of giddiness and child like behavior emanating from the pheasant hunting community...

Silver spurs and gold tequila
keep me hanging on.
Pretty girls and old cantinas
give me shelter from the storm.

but who's counting....

thanks flushem. we'll definitely hit the steakhouse, pancake breakfast is provided on our hunt in stratford. we're hunting with the stratford education foundation. stratford has had that hunt put on by the lion's club for a long time, this is the first year i think for the the eduacation foundation. i lived in stratford as a kid, and used to hunt friend's land when i'd go up to visit. i haven't been up there to hunt in many years, absolutely can't wait!

SO!, now the plan to get out before noon is circling in a downward spiral realmad realmad. it should not be like this, but our motto at this company is "Why plan when you can panic!". Well, I'm about to fire myself and head out. Driving to the deer lease for an afternoon hunt, then up at 5:30 Saturday morning and driving the last 1.5 hours up to Floydada. Be there in time for some breakfast tamales and then we'll hit the CRP. Good luck to everyone!
