I went hunting Thanksgiving morning. Took my daughter with me. We were back in time to deep fry the turkey for Thanksgiving dinner and make all the fixins. Ate, then had family time. If a front times itself similarly for Christmas, I'd do the same again.

We have spent the last few thanksgivings hunting... love it. Family is dispersed so it's still better on weekends for them... several have to work so weekends are better, so we hunt.
Christmas, is Family time.

Well excpet for last weekend when ihad to miss an evening hunt to go see the miss lady's newborn cuzin....but while i was there, i ate deer sausage and talked huntin with her uncle, so it shouldnt count against me!
But, i wont get to hunt too much tihs holiday season, goin on a week long fishin trip right when iget out of school, then goin on a week long trip to colorado, then i get back and we are having some family functions, and i will want to dove hunt and not deer hunt, and thne the season will be over, and ill be back out on the lake, then i will be outta money and tryin to sell firewood lol!

Yay. I work alot of weekends during deer season and sometimes only have time during Thanksgiving and Christmas. My wife and family understands and totally gets it. A lot of the time I am hunting with my brother.

I hunted during the Thanksgiving holidays. West Texas and Kansas. The hunting was great.
HOWEVER, I am posting this from a hotel room...
I say NAY.

We started the week of Thanksgiving with buffalo stew for the first day, followed by dove caserole on tuesday, Big Bend Rio Grande fried catfish on Wed. with wild turkey and giblet gravy killed two days prior for Thanksgiving. Not to mention the wild hog sausage killed in Oct every morning for breakfast. Best thing of all, is always having family on the lease to share it with. Its a family tradition. P.S. No deer was harmed during the happy memories being created..........for this trip anyway. on hunting with your family

We hunt together for Thanksgiving. For Christmas, we are at home until the day after Christmas and then head to the lease to spend the rest of the time through New Years
